The Concept

The e-Learning Heroes weekly challenge #12 Transform Infographics into Interactive Graphics presented the concept of “rebuilding static Infographics as interactive graphics as a way to exercise course-building skills.  I chose this infographic as the inspiration to create an interactive graphic because I think it’s a classic example of how you can easily simplify the way information is presented to learners.

The Method

In the first interactive graphic below I used a simple method of adding numbered “markers” in Articulate Storyline, with access to the information by clicking on each marker.

In the second interactive graphic, I once again used Articulate Storyline, but used layers, hot spots and trigger functionality to display the information as the learner hovers their mouse over each of the elements in the graphic.
