e-Learning Games

Gamification and game-based learning is becoming more popular and when used effectively, brings a sense of fun to an e-Learning experience.  This makes the learner more likely to engage with and complete the course.

I was unclear of the difference between these two – but this article explains it pretty well.

So, this is my first attempt at designing an e-Learning game…

The inspiration for this game came from this simple sound board design that I created to demonstrate the effectiveness of using buttons in Articulate Storyline to play audio files throughout an e-Learning course.

The design now looks something like this.  I’m developing it into a simple game, with a title and scoring – still using the original concept of showcasing button sets in Articulate Storyline to play audio files.

I’m pretty much set on the design – now I just need to work out the answer buttons and the scoring…
